HND, BSc, BTech, BA, BEd, B.Eng., MSc, MA, etc. in computer Science, Computer engineering in information technology, software development management, software engineering, computer science, or a related field.
Professional qualifications will be an added advantage
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proven experience in project management and software development.
Good working knowledge of project estimation techniques.
Excellent technical knowledge.
Good leadership, decision-making, and organization skills.
Good decision-making abilities at the right time
Previous experience managing similar type of projects
Strong attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks.

DETAILS OF DUTIES:
• To discuss potential projects and their parameters with clients, executives, and software developers;
• To plan out the blueprints for software projects, including defining the scope, allocating resources, setting deadlines, layout communication strategies, and indicating tests and maintenance;
• To assemble and lead the project team;
• To participate in and supervise each stage of the project;
• To ensure each project stays on schedule and adheres to the deadlines.
• To create a project budget and ensure the project adheres to the budget as closely as possible;
• To determine and oversee consistent testing, evaluation, and troubleshooting of all products in all stages of completion;
• To track milestones, deliverables, and change requests;
• To serve as a liaison to communicate information regarding changes, milestones reached, and other pertinent information;
• To deliver completed software products to clients and perform regular checks on the products’ performance;
• To manage the day-to-day IT operations, networks, and computer systems;
• To create IT project budgets and reallocate resources where necessary
• To direct the recruitment of IT staff and mentoring the in-house IT team
• To ensure that employees are following computer use, information security, and privacy policies;
• To provide regular and up-to-date status reports to stakeholders;
• To develop a renewal and upgrade schedule for company software programs;
• To run vendor management process to ensure the company’s data security;
• To ensure that the project delivery is timely by setting time marks;
• To sustain the project after completion by devising suitable maintenance and troubleshooting methods;
• To speak to the client to find out what they need and work out the risks related to different options;
• To choose the most appropriate project management method for the job, work out and agree on timescales, budgets and resources;
• To use project management software to plan development and coordinate the project team;
• To monitor progress and keep clients and senior managers informed, solve problems and change your approach, if needed.
